I recently ordered your 10-pack so I could try the full range of flavors you currently offer. I wanted to share some detailed feedback—both positive and critical—in the hope that it may be helpful as you continue developing your products.
First, I genuinely appreciate how clearly you list your ingredients. Knowing exactly what I am consuming gives me considerably more confidence when trying a nicotine product, and I believe that level of transparency is something your company should be proud of.
Before trying NicNacs, I had used products such as ZYN and FRE, including higher-strength options around 15 mg. My pouch use had become heavier than I was comfortable with, and I was looking for a lower-strength option that could help reduce my overall nicotine consumption while also moving away from a daily cigar-smoking habit.
In that regard, NicNacs' nicotine delivery felt much more manageable than the stronger products I had previously used, which was one of the biggest positives for me.
Unfortunately, I also experienced some significant irritation. My biggest concern involved the mint flavors. When swallowing the juices produced while using them, I experienced noticeable burning and irritation in my throat and stomach. I have experienced something similar with FRE, but personally, the NicNacs mint varieties felt considerably stronger.
The citrus flavors were easier for me to tolerate because they lacked the intense mint sensation. However, I would love to see the citrus lineup become much more tart—something genuinely sour and candy-inspired, similar to a Sour Starburst-style flavor.
A few additional flavors I think could help differentiate the lineup include fresh lavender and rosemary, sweet tea, Southern-style tea, extra-tart or "super sour" fruit varieties, and additional herbal or botanical flavors.
Another area I would strongly encourage you to consider is offering a xylitol-free option. I understand why xylitol is commonly used and that many customers may tolerate or prefer it. However, some people experience significant gastrointestinal sensitivity to sugar alcohols. In my case, I also do not have teeth, so the dental benefits of xylitol are not particularly relevant to me, while its gastrointestinal effects are.
Coming from a cigar-smoking background, I am very familiar with the nausea and stomach discomfort that can occur when nicotine-containing saliva or juices are swallowed. In my personal experience, having actual sugar alongside nicotine has historically made that discomfort easier to manage. By contrast, swallowing nicotine together with xylitol was particularly difficult for my stomach. Since xylitol itself can cause gastrointestinal distress in sensitive individuals, combining that with nicotine-related nausea made the experience considerably worse for me.
I am not suggesting your current formula is inherently bad or unsuitable for everyone. My concern is specifically for customers who already know they are sensitive to xylitol or sugar alcohols.
For that reason, I would be very interested to know whether NicNacs has considered developing a xylitol-free formula, potentially using 100% organic sugar or another non-sugar-alcohol sweetener. I recognize that this would require formulation changes and may affect sweetness, texture, stability, and other factors, but even a separate limited xylitol-free line would make me much more interested in purchasing again.
Overall, I think NicNacs has a promising concept, particularly for adults who find stronger nicotine pouches overwhelming and are looking for lower-strength alternatives.
Based solely on my personal experience, I would currently rate the products approximately 3 out of 5. The lower nicotine strength and ingredient transparency were major positives, but the throat and stomach irritation—especially with the mint flavors—was substantial enough that I could not comfortably continue using them.
Because of that, I unfortunately do not see myself purchasing the current lineup again. However, if NicNacs introduced genuinely sour flavors, tea or herbal varieties, or especially a xylitol-free formula, I would absolutely be interested in giving the brand another try.
Lastly, because I do not plan to consume the remaining products due to the irritation I experienced, I wanted to ask whether a refund for my order might be possible. If your policy does not allow one under these circumstances, I completely understand, but I would greatly appreciate your consideration.
